Shomat (D'niSomat, Shomaht) was the youngest son of Ailesh and the third King of D'ni.

Biography[edit]

Shomat was born in 256 DE (7401–7400 BCE) and was the youngest of his father's three sons. In his early years, he enrolled in the Guild of Writers. When his father died in 300 DE (7357–7356 BCE), Shomat was selected to take the throne as his two older brothers did not seem fit to the public.

When Shomat took the throne, he immediately ordered the construction of a palace. It was completed in 347 DE (7310–7309 BCE), and it was filled with gardens. However, his two older brothers refused to join Shomat in his palace, something the public saw as a tremendous disrespect.

It was around this time that Shomat ordered the writing of Garden Ages. However, his first Garden Age was inhabited with intelligent creatures. Shomat asked his brothers to kill the creatures, but his brothers decided to use the creatures to destroy Shomat, so they returned to him declaring that the creatures had been destroyed. Shomat was pleased and offered his brothers a linking book to a beautiful Age. However, as soon as the brothers linked there, Shomat order Grand Master Kenri to modify the book, making it an uninhabitable Age.

Shomat died of natural causes in 555 DE (7102–7101 BCE), at the age of 299. He left the throne to Ja'kreen, the son of one of his closest friends.
