In Myst[edit]

Achenar in the Prison Book

The Blue Prison Book was a Prison Book that Atrus wrote to keep greedy explorers from plundering his ages. It was on display in the Myst Library along with the Red Prison Book. Achenar later used it, not knowing it was a trap book and was imprisoned. When the Stranger came to Myst Island, Achenar told him to bring him blue pages, and begged him to set him free. The Stranger instead freed Atrus from K'veer, who then burned the trap book.

In Myst IV: Revelation[edit]

A second Haven linking book in Myst IV

In Myst IV: Revelation, there is no such thing as a prison book, and that the blue book was a regular linking book leading to Haven, an age where there were no linking books, thus Achenar was trapped.

Canon vs Non-Canon[edit]

Prison Books are not actually canon to the Myst storyline. Instead they are a plot device created by Cyan in order to give the game more depth than the actual historical events. This means that the Blue Prison book was just a regular linking book to Haven as seen in Myst IV: Revelation.
